The Concerned Citizens of Kearney blog began as a forum to inform the people of Kearney of what goes on behind their backs. We succeeded in exposing everything from incompetence to malice to outright corruption. Often we satirized and parodied.
Sadly, following an email put out by Kearney's Mayor Paul Tomlinson, the Johnston family, who have always come to the service of our community, have been repeatedly attacked by the mayor's supporters. The attacks have ranged from stalking, harassment, clandestine photography and video-taping to forged emails and outright assault.
The Johnstons are not the editors of this blog. They never were. But the Proudfoot bunch had no target for their hatred so they focused it on them regardless of whatever evidence was presented to prove otherwise. The Johnstons repeatedly offered plenty of evidence proving they weren't "The Blog", and we even posted articles while the Johnston family was in a courtroom with Rhys Milner. But the Proudfoot Bunch needed someone to lash out at and no amount of evidence was going to deter them.
The latest tactic has been to create forged emails, supposed written by a sister/aunt who made the mistake of meeting a couple from Waterloo/Proudfoot and revealing her relationship to the Johnstons. The Proudfoot Bunch weren't content to BCC these forgeries to everyone but also set up a website to showcase them and counter our coverage of Kearney politics with Tit-for-Tat. We wouldn't have minded the Tit-for-Tat, but the gross indecency that the Johnston continue to be subjected to has gone too far. The Johnstons have supported us - even after the assault - and continue to support us, but we can no longer stand to see them victimized on our account.
The people of Kearney know what the Proudfoot Bunch have done or have tried to do to Kearney. There is little else we can offer that would justify the continued torments suffered by those who have only ever served our community.
Perhaps now the Proudfoot Bunch will leave them in peace.
God Bless,
Robert Molnar
